In most cases, the number of issued
shares presented in Investment Service Centre ("ISC") should be consistent with that latest
figure disclosed by the listed issuers. Discrepancies could however arise due to
one or more of the following reasons:
Updating time-lag
ISC will be updated from the submitted Monthly
Returns and Next Day Disclosure Returns normally not more than three days from the day
of submission.
Rights issues or bonus issues
The number of issued shares on the ISC will be adjusted with effect from the ex-date
in the event of announced rights issues or announced bonus issues. In this case, both the number
of issued shares before and after the adjustment will be presented in ISC.
Share splits or share consolidations
The number of issued shares on the ISC will be adjusted on the effective date in
the event of share splits or share consolidations.
Conversion of convertible notes into shares
If the change of the number of issued shares is due to conversion of convertible
bonds, the ISC may be updated based on the related company announcement.
