Personal data collected in this case will be used by HKEx for the reasons set forth below and will be held on the basis of the principles set out in this statement and in HKEx's overriding Privacy Policy Statement, which applies generally to personal data collected by HKEx on this website.
Purpose of Collection
The personal data provided by you on the above form will be used by HKEx to process your registration for the Email/Mobile Alert services. Failure to provide the requested data may result in HKEx being unable to register you for such services. The personal data may also be used by HKEx for research and analysis and investor education purposes, the development of its business and the marketing of its products and services (unless you have informed HKEx that you do not wish to receive any direct marketing materials).
Access to and Correction of Personal Data
Subject to the exemptions under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to request access to and correction of your personal data held by HKEx. Requests for access to, or correction of, personal data should be in writing and addressed to the Personal Data Administrator, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, 12/F., One International Finance Centre, 1 Harbour View Street, Central, Hong Kong. All data access requests shall be made using the form prescribed by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data. In accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, HKEx has the right to charge a fee for the processing of any data access request.

On registering for the services provided by HKEx, you agree that HKEx and its subsidiaries shall not be responsible or liable to you or any third party for use of any information contained in or provided through the Email/Mobile Alert services. You understand that the Email/Mobile Alert services are provided solely for information and should not be relied on for making investment decisions.
