Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has published on the HKEx website the 39th edition of its quarterly publication, Exchange. This edition includes:
- An overview of the records set in HKEx’s markets last year;
- A report on the growth of new listings in Hong Kong by companies from overseas;
- An article on extended trading hours, which will be introduced in two phases beginning in March this year;
- An update on the Free Prices Website Service, which is being expanded and repackaged;
- An introduction to the hosting services to be offered at the Next Generation Data Centre;
- A progress report on the major market system upgrades to AMS/3/8 to MDS/3.8;
- A report on the debut of Dividend futures, which began trading in November of last year;
- A Chat Room conversation with Christine Wong, HKEx's Head of Legal Services and Chief Counsel, who discusses the challenges and opportunities of her team;
- A report on the HKEx and SFC initiatives to raise investors’ awareness on synthetic ETFs;
- An article on the growth of online derivatives trading by retail investors.
Online versions of all editions of the publication are available on the HKEx website in the Exchange Newsletters section. As part of HKEx’s efforts to reduce paper consumption and thus help protect the environment, the newsletter will be published in electronic format only, starting with this issue.
