SENIOR MANAGER - LISTING (LISTING ENFORCEMENT)

Job Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Vice President in the conduct of all enforcement related matters, including the formulation of disciplinary policy and procedures
  • To investigate and conduct disciplinary action for breaches of the Exchange Listing Rules including presentation before the Listing Committee

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer.  Holder of advanced degree in Law or Finance an advantage
  • At least 8 years' relevant working experience in regulatory, administrative or criminal litigation as a barrister or solicitor  
  • Experience in financial markets regulation and law enforcement an advantage as are good investigative, forensic and analytical skills
  • Good working knowledge of Main Board and GEM Listing Rules including underlying principles and published interpretations
  • Strong analytical and English writing skills; knowledge of Cantonese, Putonghua and written Chinese an advantage

 

VICE PRESIDENT - CLEARING (CLEARING SUPPORT SERVICES)

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Clearing, this position is responsible for leading and managing the functions of clearing product services and clearing hotline and training services in Clearing Division.  The job holder will assist the Head in formulating the annual operating plan of Clearing Division to facilitate its growth and further business development.  His/Her duties will include:

  1. To plan, develop and manage all matters relating to Clearing Support Services Department
  2. To manage the exceptions as arise from department's day to day operations
  3. To identify new opportunities for clearing product services, formulate development plan, oversee projects implementation and budgetary control
  4. To manage the service performance of the clearing hotline and training services team
  5. To liaise with internal departments, external business counterparts, relevant statutory bodies, market practitioners and participants on new clearing products / services
  6. To maintain dialogue and relationships with mainland and overseas clearing houses and securities depositories
  7. To undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by the Head of Clearing Division

Requirements:

  1. University Degree or higher
  2. At least 10 years' relevant industry / market experience, of which at least 6 years at management level
  3. Good understanding of the operations of local / mainland / global securities and derivatives markets and clearing services
  4. Excellent managerial, analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
  5. Good business acumen, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is also required

 

MANAGER - CLEARING (CLEARING SUPPORT SERVICES)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To conduct feasibility study, prepare cost estimation and delivery schedule for Clearing Division's new initiatives
  2. To perform business analysis, develop business model/case, analyse financial models, and write business proposals
  3. To collect and analyze business requirements, lead team discussion, propose solutions, produce business paper, and evaluate technical solutions
  4. To lead project development, manage the development process and co-ordinate UAT with internal/external parties

Requirements:

  1. University degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration or related subject
  2. At least 6 years' relevant experience, of which at least 2 years at management level, preferably in well-established financial organizations
  3. Sound knowledge of securities / derivatives clearing and settlement operations in Hong Kong and familiar with the related legislations
  4. Strong analytical, organisation and project management skills
  5. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
  6. Conversant with MS Word and Excel

                 

OFFICER - CLEARING (DEPOSITORY & NOMINEE SERVICES)

Job Responsibilities:

  • To review issuers' corporate announcements to ensure they are consistent with the relevant policy and procedures
  • To deliver the checked corporate announcements on benefit entitlements or corporate voting to participants and prepare related payments
  • To handle participants' enquiries on corporate actions
  • To support implementation of new products, projects or initiatives and participate in its' user acceptance test

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years' working experience in securities / derivatives clearing, settlement operation, hotline services and training delivery
  • Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong team spirit and good communication skills

 

ASSISTANT OFFICER - CLEARING (CLEARING SUPPORT SERVICES)

Job Responsibilities:

  • To handle hotline enquiries services to Clearing participants and retail investors with respect to operation of CCASS/DCASS and Investor Account Service
  • To assist in conducting regular CCASS, DCASS and IP training to participants
  • To participate in Relationship Call programme to seek participants' feedback and comments
  • To perform User Acceptance Test (UAT) and to prepare testing documentation
  • To undertake other special or ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years' working experience in securities / derivatives clearing, settlement operation, hotline services and training delivery
  • Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

SENIOR MANAGER - DERIVATIVES MARKET (TRADING & MARKET OPERATIONS)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To monitor the trading of futures and options in accordance with the established HKEx rules and regulations and to ensure the trading environment is transparent, fair and efficient
  2. To supervise a team of staff to provide efficient trading services and facilities including professional hotline services to Exchange Participants

Requirements:

  1. University degree, preferably in Finance / Economics or related disciplines
  2. Sound knowledge of the derivatives market operations and regulations
  3. At least 8 years' relevant experience, of which at least 4 years at management level preferably in well-established financial organizations
  4. Good managerial and communication skills
  5. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage

 

MANAGER - DERIVATIVES MARKET (PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To originate new product ideas and conduct product feasibility studies
  2. To take an active role in seeking internal and regulatory approvals for new products and in coordinating legal, compliance, risk management and clearing related matters
  3. To assist in monitoring, reviewing and seeking enhancements on existing futures and options products
  4. To prepare product marketing/advertising plan, conduct product marketing/advertising activities and maintain relationship with market participants

Requirements:

  1. University degree, preferably in Finance / Economics or related disciplines
  2. At least 6 years' relevant experience, preferably in well-established financial organizations; experience in research, report writing and/or advertising an advantage
  3. Sound knowledge of derivatives market operations and regulations
  4. Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  5. Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage

 

CLERK - INFORMATION SERVICES

Job Responsibilities:

To carry out administrative and logistic duties in supporting of

  • preparation and processing vendor documents
  • maintenance of vendor records and filing system
  • monitoring collection of revenue from information services
  • ensuring information vendors' activities are in compliance with vendor agreements and prescribed procedures

Requirements:

  • Form 7 or above
  • Some clerical working experience preferred but not essential
  • Reliable and willing to accept responsibilities
  • Meticulous, attentive to details and able to maintain high level of accuracy
  • Well-versed in MS Word, Excel, Access, Chinese typing and PowerPoint

 

VICE PRESIDENT - RISK MANAGEMENT (CASH CLEARING RISK MANAGEMENT)

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of the Risk Management Division, the successful incumbent will oversee the operations of the Cash Clearing Risk Management Department ("CCRM") within the Risk Management Division, take the lead and responsibility for identifying, monitoring and managing the counterparty risk of Hong Kong Securities Clearing Limited ("HKSCC") and the operational risks of the Department, establishing and administering an effective and efficient risk management system for managing these risks in accordance with the policies and procedures approved by the Board and the Risk Management Committee.  The job holder is expected to:

  1. manage the day-to-day operational and administrative management responsibilities as VP of CCRM
  2. set up, oversee and enhance effective risks monitoring systems as well as maintain an efficient reporting and contingency mechanism
  3. formulate and implement relevant risk management policies
  4. assess risk implications of new products and business operations and develop appropriate risk management measures
  5. oversee the administration of the HKSCC Guarantee Fund
  6. liaise with relevant statutory bodies, participants and professional organizations on cross-market risk management policies and other CCRM matters

Requirements:

  1. University degree or equivalent; preferably in Risk Management / Finance / Accounting / Law or a related subject
  2. At least 10 years' relevant experience, of which at least 6 years at a management level with proven securities market risk management experience
  3. Sound knowledge of the regulatory framework of the Hong Kong financial markets; legal framework concerning share holding, transfer and settlement; and the risk associated with clearing and settlement of securities; and industry standards applicable to CCPs (i.e. IOSCO Recommendations)
  4. Well versed in rules and procedures of clearing houses and exchanges; risk management models, clearing and trading systems used by HKEx, surveillance systems and common information vendor systems
  5. Excellent managerial, analytical, strategic thinking, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.  Proficiency in Putonghua an advantage

    

SENIOR SECRETARY

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To provide full secretarial, administrative and executive support services to a senior management executive, and other staff members as and when required
  2. To coordinate office management activities and act as the liaison between the senior management executive, his direct reports, other staff as well as external parties to facilitate smooth and effective communications

Requirements:

  • Form 7 or above with formal secretarial training
  • At least 5 years of secretarial and / or administrative experience in serving senior level manager(s) in well established financial organizations (experience serving with expatriate manager(s) an advantage)
  • Good spoken and written English; fluent Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Chinese word processing
  • Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Able to handle multi-tasking and able to work independently

 

PROJECT MANAGER

(For a 3-Year Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To oversee the implementation of a development project for building a new data centre and IT office in a green field site (about 11,000 sq. meter) at a local industrial estate
  2. To participate in project planning, program scheduling, budgeting, cost control and site supervision
  3. To assist in preparation of tender documentation, selection and appointment of various project consultants, contractors and suppliers
  4. To coordinate, interface and attend meetings with all project partners including consultants, contractors, suppliers and government authorities
  5. To report to the Project Steering Committee on the development progress and all related activities of the project from the inception to the completion stage

Requirements:

  1. Qualified HKIA/HKIE/HKIS professionals with at least 15 years of experience acting as Project Manager or Client Representative in managing new build development projects, preferably with experience in data centre development
  2. Good knowledge in IT infrastructure facilities and fitting out installations with proven related project experience
  3. Ability in managing a team of design and construction specialists in various disciplines
  4. Strong planning, organization and communication skills
  5. Be able to work independently and under pressure

                

SENIOR SYSTEMS ANALYST / SYSTEMS ANALYST INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (LISTING SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT)

(For an 11-Month Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  1. To undertake application systems development and maintenance activities.  Duties include collecting business requirements, conducting systems design and analysis, preparing documentations, liaising with other IT teams, monitoring project progress and ensuring development works are complied with guidelines and standards          

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines
  2. At least 7 years' application system development experience, with exposure in collecting requirements, developing and supporting systems on Microsoft platform
  3. Well versed in Windows platform (especially .NET environment).  Practical working experience on ASP, Visual C#, Visual Basic and MS SQL a must
  4. Good knowledge in software development and project management methodology
  5. Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Systems Analyst
