This series comprises actual decisions taken on cases handled by the Listing Committee and the Listing Division in their everyday work.

Unless otherwise specified, these decisions relate to Main Board issuers.

The Exchange endeavours to ensure that its listing-related decisions are made known to the market and to achieve a degree of transparency in the decision-making process of the Listing Committee and Listing Division. It is hoped that they will assist listed issuers and their advisers in their understanding and application of the Listing Rules.

By publishing these decisions, it is not intended to explain a director's common law and statutory duties and obligations nor to amend or replace the Listing Rules. These decisions should not be taken as a substitute for advice from qualified professional advisers.

In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the contents of these decisions and the Listing Rules, as amended and interpreted from time to time, the latter shall prevail and govern.

Each of these decisions was based on the specific circumstances of the case concerned and therefore might not necessarily be a precedent for future cases. The Listing Division is available for consultation on a confidential basis where an interpretation of the Listing Rules, or one of these decisions, is required and issuers and practitioners are strongly urged to contact the Listing Division at the earliest opportunity with any queries they may have on the Listing Rules.
