Appointment of SEHK and HKFE chief executives

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has received the confirmation that the Securities and Futures Commission has approved the appointment of Patrick Conroy, HKEx's Chief Operating Officer, as the Chief Executive of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) and Gerald Greiner, HKEx's Deputy Chief Operating Officer, as the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE).  Both appointments took effect on 21 June 2004.

SEHK and HKFE are wholly-owned subsidiaries of HKEx.
