HKEx Appoints Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announced today (Monday) the appointments of Stephen Marzo as Chief Financial Officer and Henry Ingrouille as its Chief Administrative Officer.  Mr Marzo will join on 26 June 2012 while Mr Ingrouille will join HKEx on 9 July 2012.

Both Mr Marzo and Mr Ingrouille will report directly to Chief Executive Charles Li and will be members of the Senior Management Committee.

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr Marzo will head the Finance Department and assume full responsibility for the financial and treasury functions of HKEx as well as Investor Relations.

Mr Marzo has over 30 years of experience in financial management at various financial institutions and commodity trading and resource investment companies.  He has spent most of his work life in Asia including the past 18 years in Hong Kong.  His most recent role was as Group Chief Financial Officer of the Noble Group Limited, one of the largest commodities supply chain management companies in the world.  At Noble, Mr Marzo was responsible for the Group’s overall financial management, which included investments and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance, and treasury management.  He was also an active member in the Group’s risk management efforts and worked closely with major stakeholders including both equity and debt institutional investors.  Prior to working at Noble, Mr Marzo held senior risk management positions at Goldman Sachs Asia LLCand Bear Stearns (Asia) LLC.  He also previously worked as the European Treasurer for Phibro Energy Inc.

Mr Marzo holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, USA. 

In his capacity as the Chief Administrative Officer, Mr Ingrouille will oversee management of company-wide projects and business initiatives, Human Resources Department and Administration Department.

Mr Ingrouille has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, most of which were based in Asia.  Currently, as a Managing Director and Head of Asian Operations for Morgan Stanley, Mr Ingrouille has been responsible for the Operational support for Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities, Private Wealth and Investment Management businesses.  During his career with Morgan Stanley, he held, amongst others, the positions of Global Head – Vendor and Network Management, Global Head – Collateral Management, and Asia Head – Multi-asset Client Service.  Prior to that, Mr Ingrouille worked as Asia Head, Network Management for Banker’s Trust in Hong Kong.  In his early career, Mr Ingrouille worked as an International Relations Analyst for the London Stock Exchange.

Mr Ingrouille holds a Bachelor of Science in Computational Linguistics and Modern Languages from the University of Manchester, UK.
