Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) today (Wednesday) hosted its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM). All proposed resolutions as set out in the notice of AGM dated 18 March 2026 were passed. Please refer to the regulatory announcement issued today for the results by resolution.
Following the Government’s re-appointment of Chan Kin Por and Herbert Chia and appointment of Clement Chan, and shareholders’ election of Miranda Kwok and Gordon Orr as Directors of HKEX, new appointments have been made to certain committees of HKEX, with immediate effect. At the same time, Cheah Cheng Hye, Susan Chow and Hugo Leung are retiring as Directors of HKEX.
HKEX Chairman, Carlson Tong, said: “We warmly welcome the election of Ms Miranda Kwok and Mr Gordon Orr as Directors of HKEX. Ms Kwok brings extensive expertise in the financial industry and capital markets, while Mr Orr offers a wealth of international and Chinese business and strategy experience. Together with the appointment of Mr Clement Chan, these new directors will help advance the Group’s strategic direction, whilst adding to the diversity and calibre of the HKEX Board.”
Mr Tong added: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Mr Cheah Cheng Hye, Mrs Susan Chow and Mr Hugo Leung for their valuable contributions to HKEX and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.”
The latest compositions of HKEX’s committees are available on the HKEX Group website. The term of service of each HKEX Director on each committee is coterminous with the individual’s term of directorship with HKEX.
