Notice To Take Leave

The Board of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announces that Henry H L Fan has today served a notice to take a leave of absence from meetings of the Board and the Nomination Committee of HKEx with immediate effect.

Mr Fan, also the managing director of CITIC Pacific Limited (stock code: 0267), is of the view that taking leave is to avoid any perception of conflict or potential conflict of interests during the investigation into the CITIC Pacific affairs by the regulators.

Mr Fan has advised us that he will not receive any Board and committee papers during his leave.

Mr Fan will resume attending Board and committee meetings upon completion of the aforesaid investigation.
