The IPO Transactions Department of the Listing Division is responsible for processing applications for new equity listings including transactions by listed companies deemed to be new listings.  In addition, it is also responsible for handling pre-IPO enquiries, assessing whether an applicant has met the basic listing requirements as set out in the Listing Rules and vetting prospectuses. The existing Listing Rules require that an advanced proof of the prospectus and certain documents to be submitted to the Listing Division with the listing application form.  The current requirements are set out in the documents, namely, Revised Guidance for New Listing Applications for both the Main Board and the Growth Enterprises Market issued in June 2003.
