The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong held a meeting today with representatives from Guangnan (Holdings) Limited, together with its advisors.  During the meeting, the contents of the company's press announcement of January 12, 1999 and the subsequent press comments and public concerns were discussed.  A clarification announcement in relation to certain of the press comments will be released by the company as soon as possible.
