In response to media enquiries on the issue of today's (Wednesday) board meeting, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited issued the following statement:

The Board has not considered, at todays meeting, any proposal on making a special distribution to shareholders, and a decision on the subject would not be made in the short term.
