Securities market
- The Hang Seng Index (HSI) closed at 18300.61 today, down 1052.29 points, or 5.44 per cent.
- The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (H-shares index) closed at 9236.58 today, down 738.42 points, or 7.40 per cent.
- Today’s securities market turnover value was $88,512 million.
- Today’s turnover values for H-share and red-chip companies were $41,064 million and $10,949 million respectively.
- Today’s derivative warrants turnover was $4,222 million, the lowest in 2008.
- Today’s CBBCs turnover was $4,068 million.
- A total of 702,914 trades were concluded today.
- Today’s closing market capitalisation* was $12,911.9 billion. The previous trading day’s (12 September 2008) closing market capitalisation was $13,687.9 billion.
