Investors from Taiwan can now participate in Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited’s (HKEx) Mini-Hang Seng Index (MHI) futures market as a result of the MHI futures contract’s addition to the Taiwan financial regulator’s list of overseas futures contracts with trading authorisation.  The MHI futures contract has joined HKEx’s Hang Seng Index futures contract on the list.

HKEx recommends Futures Exchange Participants interested in possible business opportunities stemming from the regulatory change refer to the information available on the Taiwan financial regulator’s website for details to ensure they comply with all the applicable rules and regulations.

“We welcome Taiwan investors interested in participating in our Mini-Hang Seng Index futures market,” said HKEx Head of Derivatives Market Calvin Tai. “Most other overseas investors already have access to our markets and we will continue to promote our current and new products to overseas investors.”
