Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce three new stock option classes on 6 July this year and is gradually discontinuing trading in three stock option classes and the corresponding stock futures contracts.
New Stock Option Classes
The new stock option classes comprise China Overseas Land, Tencent and Zijin Mining. The table below shows contract highlights. A general contract summary is on the HKEx website at:

Other Changes
HKEx has decided to gradually discontinue the trading of Cheung Kong Infrastructure options and futures, Denway Motors options and futures and Johnson Electric options and futures with immediate effect due to limited trading.

Stock Options and Futures Being Phased Out
CKI, DWM, JSE Options: No new expiry months or series will be introduced for trading with immediate effect. All existing expiry months and series will be available for trading until the expiration of the respective expiry months.
CKI, DWM JSE Futures: No new contract months will be introduced for trading with immediate effect. All outstanding contract months will be available for trading until expiration of the respective contract months.
The changes resulted from a routine market review and reflect HKEx’s commitment to providing products and services that meet the needs of its markets’ participants.
