The db x-trackers ETFs are products of the Deutsche Bank Group (DB Group), a major ETF manager in Europe which is cross-listing its ETFs in Hong Kong for the first time. All six db x-trackers’ ETFs in the table above have a synthetic structure which allows them to replicate the performance of the underlying assets. Deutsche Securities Asia Limited, part of the DB Group, is the market maker for the six ETFs.
The addition of the db x-trackers debuting tomorrow will increase the number of ETFs listed on the Exchange to 35. DB Group is the eighth ETF manager to list a fund in Hong Kong.
All ETFs listed on the Exchange, including the six newest listings, are designated for market making and for short selling with tick rule exemption. Investors are advised to read the ETFs’ prospectuses in full prior to making any investment decisions. Information on the various risks of ETFs and their structures is available on the HKEx website. ETF market maker obligations and arrangements are also provided on the HKEx website.
