Securities and Derivatives Markets Delay Open due to Issuance of Typhoon Signal No. 8

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announced that the morning trading sessions of both the securities and derivatives markets have been delayed due to the issuance of Typhoon Signal No. 8.  If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above remains issued after 9:30am, the morning trading sessions for all markets will be cancelled.  The markets of HKEx's major products will resume trading from 2:30 pm if the signal is cancelled at or before 12:00 noon.  HKEx will make a further announcement in due course.
