Members' Biographies
Ms KO Yuk-yin, Teresa - Chairman
Aged 49, China Managing Partner, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2006. She qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and in England and Wales after receiving her Masters Degree from Cambridge University. Ms Ko is Deputy Chairman and a member of the Hong Kong Panel on Takeovers and Mergers, a member of the SFC (HKEC Listing) Committee and a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform.
Mr LEE Ka Sze, Carmelo - Deputy Chairman
Aged 50, Partner of Woo, Kwan, Lee & Lo, was appointed to the Listing Committee on5 June 2009. He is a non-executive director of Hopewell Holdings Limited, China Pharmaceutical Group Limited, The Cross-Harbour (Holdings) Limited, Yugang International Limited, YT Realty Group Limited, Safety Godown Limited and Termbray Industries International (Holdings) Limited; and an independent non-executive director of KWG Property Holding Limited.
Mr Lee is an adjudicator at the Registration of Persons Tribunal, a chairman of the Transport Tribunal of the HKSAR Government and a member of the Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Mainland Legal Affairs Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong, a member of the Campaign Committee of The Community Chest of Hong Kong and the Co-Chairman of the Community Chest Corporate Challenge Half Marathon.
Mr Lee is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong. He previously served on the listing Committee from 2000 to 2003.
Mr MOORE John Douglas - Deputy Chairman
Aged 42, Partner, Herbert Smith, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2008. He was previously Executive Director and Senior Counsel at Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC. Mr Moore is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and is admitted as an attorney in the Supreme Court of the State of New York and the State of Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Marshall University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law.
Mr LI Xiaojia, Charles - Ex officio member
Aged 49, became an ex officio member of the Listing Committee when his appointment as Chief Executive of HKEx took effect on 16 January 2010. Mr Li is Chairman of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and also Chairman and a director of various other subsidiaries of HKEx. Mr Li was previously the chairman of JP Morgan Chase China. He was the president of Merrill Lynch China from 1999 to 2003 and was an associate of the law firms Davis Polk & Wardwell and Brown & Wood. Mr Li obtained a BA degree from Xiamen University of China in 1984, a MA degree from the University of Alabama in 1988 and a JD degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York in 1991. He worked as an offshore oil worker in the north China sea prior to college, and a newspaper editor-reporter for China Daily from 1984-1986.

Aged 53, Managing Director, IDFC Global Alternatives (Hong Kong) Ltd, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2006. She was previously Executive Director, The Association for Sustainable and Responsible Investment in Asia and before that Managing Director and Deputy Head of Asian Research for Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney. She is a graduate of Williams College and holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Aged 64, Director, Butterfield Private Office (HK) Ltd, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2006. He is a former vice chairman of the Asian Securities Analysts Federation. Mr Bunker is a former chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Investment Analysts and was a founder-director of the Hong Kong Securities Institute. He is a graduate of Cambridge University.
Ms CANHAM Janine Sarah - Member
Aged 45, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 23 July 2010. She was previously Head of Asia Pacific Investment Legal, Fidelity International and before that a partner in DLA Piper. Ms Canham graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury with a degree in Law and French. She is admitted to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales, and Hong Kong and has been admitted to the New York Bar. Ms Canham is the Honorary Legal Adviser to TREATS.
Mr CHAN Chun Hung, Vincent - Member
Aged 46, Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, Spring Capital Asia Limited, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 18 May 2007. From 2000 to 2007, he was Managing Director, Head of North Asia and Investment Committee Member of JAFCO Asia. Mr Chan was a Non Executive Director of China Grentech and Canadian Solar respectively, both are listed on the NASDAQ. He is Co-President and a former chairman of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Public Shareholders Group of the Securities and Futures Commission and a member of the Disciplinary Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr CHEN Yang Chung, Roy - Member
Aged 46, Executive Director, Sterling Enterprises Limited, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 13 May 2005. He is a former alternate director of Wing Lung Bank Limited and was a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel from April 2005 to March 2008. Mr Chen is also a member of the Executive Committee for the Hong Kong Council for Social Services, a trustee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Services Foundation and a member of the Steering Committee for the Caring Company Partnership Scheme. He is a member of the Council of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Deputy Chairman of its Professional Standards Monitoring Committee, a member of its Standards & Quality Accountability Board and a member of its Member Services Accountability Board. Mr Chow is a member of the Securities and Futures Commission's Dual Filing Advisory Group at and the Financial Reporting Advisory Panel at The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He is also a part-time consultant to Simmons & Simmons in Hong Kong where he was previously an associate. Mr Davis is a graduate of University College of London and the University of Southern California. He is admitted to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales, and Hong Kong.
Dr FUNG Shing Kwong - Member
Aged 63, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2006. He was previously Managing Director, North Asia of ACNielsen and prior to that was the Chief Executive Officer of Media Genesis, a company he co-founded. He was also formerly President of NBC Asia and General Manager of TVB. Dr Fung is a former member of the supervisory board of directors of New Skies Satellites, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He is also a past member of the board and past President of the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia. Dr Fung holds a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Columbia University.

Aged 70, Deputy Chairman of Cathay International Holdings Limited, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 5 November 2004. He is a non-executive director of Lansen Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. He is a former president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and is currently a member of its government relations committee and a director of its charitable foundation.
Dr JIANG Guorong - Member
Aged 40, Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets Department, China International Capital Corporation Limited, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 5 June 2009. Dr Jiang previously held positions at the Bank for International Settlements, the International Monetary Fund and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He holds a PhD in economics from Cornell University, New York, an MA (Communication) from Miami University, Ohio, and a BA (Economics) from Nanjing University.

Aged 50, Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2008. Mr Keyes was previously Head of Asia General Execution at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and is a former member of the Hong Kong Panel on Takeovers and Mergers. He is a graduate of Oxford University and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Aged 47, Managing Director and sole shareholder of Proton Capital Limited, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 23 July 2010. Mr Leung was previously Managing Director & Executive Director of Artfield Group Limited (now known as China Sonangol Resources Enterprise Limited), which is listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and Vice Chairman, Executive Director and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Grand TG Gold Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Growth Enterprise Market.
Mr Leung is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. At the latter he was previously a member of the Corporate Finance Committee, the Expert Panel on Listing and the Advisory Committee on Listing and Takeover Regulations. He is a Standing Committee member of the Political Consultative Committee of Wu Hua County of Guangdong Province and an arbitrator of the Panel of Arbitrators of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. Aged 42, Partner, Assurance & Advisory Business Services, Ernst & Young China, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 5 June 2009. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Mr Leung is also a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants and previously served on its Corporate Governance Sub-Committee.

He was previously Secretary to the Board of Directors and spokesman, China Life Insurance Company Limited. Mr Liu is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries. He is a council member and fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. He is a council member of the Life Insurance Council of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers and Chairman of its Renminbi Life Insurance Products Task Force. Mr Liu is also an Executive Director of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association. He holds a bachelor of economics from Jiang Xi Finance and Economics College and a Master of Economics from Renmin University of China Graduate School. He completed a scholarship programme in Monetary Policy and Financial Markets at Oxford University.

Aged 57, Partner and Managing Director, TPG Capital, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 5 June 2009. Ms Ma was previously Chief Financial Officer of Lenovo Group Limited, which is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and still serves as a Non Executive Vice Chairman on its Board. She is a Director of Shenzhen Development Bank, which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and an Independent Non Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. From September 2003 to April 2007, she was an Independent Non Executive Director of Sohu.com Inc which is listed on NASDAQ. Ms Ma is a graduate of Capital Normal University in Beijing.

Aged 45, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance, BOCI Asia Limited, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 5 June 2009. Mr Ng held senior positions at several investment banks before joining BOCI Asia Limited in 2004. Mr Ng holds a Master of Laws from the School of Law, Northwestern University, an MBA from the University of Rochester, New York and a Bachelor' degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, USA. He was previously Senior Adviser to the Australian Securities Exchange and was a member of the ASX Listing Committee. Prior to that he was Executive Director, Regulation, The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. Mr Phenix is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of its Financial Reporting Standards, Auditing and Assurance Standards, and Professional Conduct Committees. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Mr Phenix is a member of the International Steering Committee of XBRL International and a director of XBRL Australia. Aged 58, Head Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Hutchison Whampoa Limited, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 5 June 2009. Ms Shih is also an Executive Director of Hutchison Harbour Ring Limited, a company listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and a Non-executive Director of Hutchison China MediTech Limited, a company listed on the Alternative Investment Market operated by the London Stock Exchange. Ms Shih is also director and company secretary of a number of Hutchison group companies in various jurisdictions. She is a member of the Council of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and serves as Chairman of its Education Committee. Ms Shih is also a member of the Standing Committee on Companies Law Reform and a lay member of the council of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He was previously Executive Director of FrontPoint Management (HK) Limited and the portfolio manager of the FrontPoint Asia Pacific Fund. He was a co-founder of Phoenix Research Limited and a Managing Director of Lombard Odier (Asia) Limited. Mr Soutar is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He was the Chairman of the Advocacy Committee of The Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts (HKSFA) and served on its board from January 1998 to January 2009. He is a director of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited, where he is also Chairman of the audit committee, and a director of the Estate Agents Authority, where he is also a member of the Disciplinary Committee and the Finance and Strategic Development Committee.
