Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announced today (Thursday) the results of the evaluation of its Board and committees.
As part of HKEx’s commitment to good corporate governance practices, HKEx appointed a consultant, Egon Zehnder International Limited, to conduct an independent evaluation of the performance of its Board and committees in October last year.
The objectives of the evaluation were to assess whether the Board, the committees and their members have performed their roles effectively and fulfilled their responsibilities, and to identify areas for improvement.
The consultant has completed the evaluation which concluded that the Board, including its committees and members, functions well and there are no major areas of concern. It also concluded that the Board is of good overall quality, with good processes and internal dynamics.
