It’s been a busy six months for HKEX’s IPO market!
The gongs inside HKEX Connect Hall have gotten plenty of use so far in 2019, and particularly today with six new listings. In total, we welcomed 84 new companies in the first six months of the year, raising more than HK$69.8 billion through IPOs. The stream of listings in Hong Kong reinforced the city’s number one position among fundraising centres in Asia.
Of the 84 new companies, 17 were new economy firms and three were biotech companies, representing about 40 per cent of the total funds raised from January through June.
