Mr Allan Aw, Office Managing Partner of Arthur Andersen Hong Kong, was appointed today (Wednesday) to the Council of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.  Mr Aw replaces Mr Tim Lewis, who resigned from the Council last month. Mr Aw also replaces Mr Lewis as a member of the Disciplinary Appeals, Finance, Traded Options, and Trading and Settlement Committees of the Council.

At the same time, Mr Meocre Li, former Listing Committee member, has been replaced by Mr Patrick Cheng, Corporate Finance Director of HSBC Investment Bank Asia Limited.  And Mr David Lui, Director of Schroder Investment Management (Hong Kong) Ltd has become an alternate member of the Listing Committee, following the resignation of Mr Richard McDonald.

The appointments have become effective immediately.
