Through the International Carbon Market Council, HKEX is collaborating with leading corporates and financial institutions to develop an international carbon market that builds on Hong Kong’s position as a leading global financial centre, contributing to global carbon neutrality goals in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Asia and beyond.
The Council actively gathers insights from members on the development of Hong Kong’s international carbon market, understanding what kind of carbon market our stakeholders need and how they want to fund new climate projects, technologies and businesses. All these are critically important as we continue to develop Core Climate, and will enable us to create best-in-class carbon market infrastructure, products and services that our stakeholders need in their net-zero transition.
