Winnie Heung appointed HKFE Treasurer

The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) announced today that Winnie Heung has been appointed Treasurer of the Exchange. Her appointment was effective 1 September. Ms Heung will be managing the day-to-day workflow of the Treasury Department, and will be responsible for managing the assets of the Exchange and the HKFE Clearing Corporation. She will report to Mr Yuan Zhou, Chief Financial Officer of HKFE and Chief Executive Officer of the HKFE Clearing Corporation.

Ms Heung was previously a fund manager and Head of Asian Fixed Income at BNP Asset Management Hong Kong. Prior to that, she was a senior proprietary trader at HSBC. Before joining HSBC, she worked seven years at Cargill Inc., where she was a trader and a portfolio manager.

"Ms Heung is a highly accomplished individual with extensive experience," said Mr. Zhou. "We are excited about her accepting the challenges of this very demanding position, and we are looking forward to her contribution to the Exchange's treasury operations."
