Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce stock futures and stock options contracts based on the share prices of The Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA) and Legend Holdings Limited (LEH) on 8 January 2001 (Monday).

The multipliers for the futures contracts will be 1,000 for BEA and 10,000 for LEH. The size of the options contracts will be one board lot of the underlying shares or 200 shares for BEA and one board lot of the underlying shares or 2,000 shares for LEH.

HKEx currently offers 18 stock options contracts and 17 stock futures contracts.
