HKFE Announces Revised Levies for Stock Futures and International Stock Futures Contracts

Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announced today (Thursday) that with effect from the commencement of trading on Friday, 16 November, the SFC Levy on Stock Futures and International Stock Futures contracts will be reduced from $1.00 to $0.20 and the Compensation Fund Levy will be reduced from $0.50 to $0.10.

In regard to International Stock Futures contracts which are to be settled in US dollars, Exchange Participants may opt to pay the SFC Levy and the Compensation Fund Levy in US dollars. In that case, the amount will be US$0.04 in total (the US dollar equivalent, rounded to nearest US cent).
