As part of its ongoing investor education efforts, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) is to stage live demonstration of its products, services and market operations at the Hong Kong Information Infrastructure Expo to be held between 7 and 10 March.
This year, HKEx is teaming up with Metro Finance to broadcast the on-site attractions and HKEx's investor education messages to investors across the territory. The public presentation of HKEx at the Expo will be extended to investors who cannot attend in person through on-site broadcast on the Metro Finance channel.
Financial market professionals will share their investment insights with Expo visitors on the radio programmes. In addition, HKEx Deputy Chief Operating Officer Lawrence Fok and Roger Lee, Senior Vice President of E-Business and Information Services, will talk about the HKEx markets' latest developments and e-trading in the Hong Kong stock market in on-site radio programmes on 9 and 10 March.
In addition, visitors to HKEx display booths will have the opportunity to experience the convenience and fascination of e-Trading by placing orders into the simulated Online Trading System set up by HKEx or through a personal digital assistant (PDA) provided by a proprietary network system vendor. The mock automated trading system for derivatives, HKATS, set up on-site will introduce to investors the trading mechanism of futures products.
Visitors can also sign up for the HKEx's CCASS investor accounts, online trading service and web-based Investment Service Centre to enjoy various benefits.
HKEx will also showcase a variety of financial products traded on the HKEx markets such as Exchange Traded Funds, warrants and other derivative products. It will also present a series of seminars covering topics like stock options, mini-HSI futures and CCASS investor account services. Various complimentary investor education booklets will be available.
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Expo will be held at Hall 1, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
