Changes of Designated Securities for Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from Tuesday, 21 May 2002, 11 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and six existing Designated Securities will be removed from the list. The total number of Designated Securities for short selling will be 155.
A list of the Designated Securities to be added and removed is attached. The revised list of Designated Securities is also available on the HKEx website (http://www.hkex.com.hk).
