Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has issued the following statement to draw the attention of investors and Exchange Participants to the transactions in the shares of Regent Pacific Group Limited (Regent Pacific) concluded during the pre-opening session today (Friday).
Investors and Exchange Participants are requested to note that Regent Pacific announced today a change of its book-close period in respect of its dividend arrangements. The Registers of Members of Regent Pacific will be closed from Monday, 23 August 2004 to Thursday, 26 August 2004, both days inclusive.
Trading in the shares of Regent Pacific was suspended at 10:00 a.m. today. Investors and Exchange Participants are reminded to exercise due care in trading in the shares of Regent Pacific when it resumes. The price of the transactions concluded during this morning's pre-opening session, the then Indicative Equilibrium Price, the nominal price and the closing price of Regent Pacific's shares may not have reflected the effect of the change of the book-close period referred to above.
