1 The Listing Committee and the GEM Listing Committee have operated as an integrated committee since 2003. Commencing this year membership of the Listing Committee and the GEM Listing Committee will be identical.
2 The year of appointment excludes any period of appointment to fill a casual vacancy. Main Board Listing Rule 2A.25 provides that, subject to the exercise of Listing Nominating Committee discretion in exceptional circumstances, members of the Listing Committee may only remain in office for a maximum of six consecutive years in addition to any period of appointment to fill a casual vacancy. Mr TONG Ka Shing, Carlson – Chairman
Aged 51, Partner in Charge of Audit, KPMG China & Hong Kong was appointed to the Listing Committee on 16 November 2001. He is a Vice President and Council member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and chairs a number of its Committees. Mr Tong is a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel and the Dual Filing Advisory Group at the SFC, and a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and a Member of the Board of the Hong Kong Sports Institute.

Aged 62, Managing Director of The GE Asia Pacific Capital Technology Fund and Asia Pacific Capital (HK) Ltd was appointed to the Listing Committee on 16 May 2003. He is currently a director of Chinney Alliance Group Limited, a company listed on the Exchange and Internet Technology Group, a company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. He is a member of the Dual Filing Advisory Group of the SFC. He is a former Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, a former Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Community Chest, and a former member of the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Law Reform Commission for six years and an Adviser on the Basic Law Consultative Committee.
Mr CHOW Man Yiu, Paul – ex officio Member
Aged 59, became an ex officio member of the Listing Committee on being appointed Chief Executive of HKEx on 1 May 2003. He is Chairman of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK) and also Chairman and director of various other subsidiaries of HKEx. Mr Chow was previously the Chief Executive, Asia Pacific ex-Japan Region of HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited from April 1997 to April 2003. He is a director of the World Federation of Exchanges and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, and a member of the board of the Community Chest of Hong Kong. He is also a member of the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee of the HKSAR Government, the Advisory Committee of the SFC, the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform, the Council and Court of the University of Hong Kong, and an appointed member of the Council of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. From 2000 to 2001 he was Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Fund Association. Mr Chow is a Distinguished Fellow of The Hong Kong Computer Society and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma in Management Studies and an MBA degree from the University of Hong Kong, and a Diploma in Finance (Distinction) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Aged 44, Founding Secretary General of the Asian Corporate Governance Association, an independent non-profit organisation based in Hong Kong, was appointed to the Listing Committee on 19 May 2006. Mr Allen is a member of the Public Shareholders’ Group of the SFC and the Working Group on Disclosure Requirements for Security Interests of the SFC. He is also a core member of the OECD Asian Roundtable on Corporate Governance and a member of the International Corporate Governance Network. He is an honours graduate of the Australian National University, Canberra.

He is a former member of the Council and a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. From 1998 to 2004 he was Head of Research at Kim Eng Securities, from 2004 to 2006 he was Group General Manager, Head of Leasing, at Sino Land and Sino Group before rejoining Kim Eng Securities in 2006. He is a former vice chairman of the Asian Securities Analysts Federation and currently chairs its publications committee. Mr Bunker is a member of The British Chamber of Commerce’s Business Policy Unit, a member of the judging panel of the Hong Kong Management Association’s Best Annual Report competition, a former chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Investment Analysts and was a founder-director of the Hong Kong Securities Institute. He was previously Managing Director, North Asia of ACNielsen and prior to that was the Chief Executive Officer of Media Genesis, a company he co-founded. He was also formerly President of NBC Asia and General Manager of TVB. Mr Fung was a member of the supervisory board of directors of New Skies Satellites, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He was a past member of the board and past President of the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia. Mr Fung holds a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Columbia University.
