Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has upgraded the news alert service available through the Investment Service Centre (ISC) on the HKEx website, and it is working with Exchange Participants to promote the upgraded service.
The ISC News Alert Service, which is free of charge*, will notify registered users by email and/or mobile phone text message alert of any announcements or disclosure of interests filings submitted by or relating to the Hong Kong-listed companies they choose. They can also track the performance of securities through the ISC’s portfolio valuation service.
HKEx improved the ISC News Alert Service recently by doubling the number of securities that can be selected for each account to 20 and increasing the frequency of the alerts. Alerts on listed company information are now sent every 30 minutes from 9 am to 12 midnight on each trading day, whereas alerts on disclosure of interests notices are sent at 5:30 pm on trading days.
The registration requirements for the ISC are simply a user name and an email address. In addition to news alerts, ISC subscribers receive alerts on other HKEx website content according to their selections.
HKEx has formed the Informed Investor Network# to promote the ISC News Alert Service. So far, 17 Exchange Participants have joined the Network by providing free space on their websites for a banner with a link to the ISC registration page on the HKEx website and/or distributing the promotion materials, including handbills, posters and stickers, to their clients.
