HKEx Appoints Head of Risk Management

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has appointed Kevin King as new Head of Risk Management, effective today (Monday).

Mr King has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, risk management advisory services and exchanges/clearing house risk management. His most recent position was the head of risk management at NASDAQ OMX / Derivatives Markets. Prior to that, he had held management positions in a number of financial institutions in New York, including Rabobank International, Nordea Bank, IBJ Schroder Bank & Trust and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. (now known as JPMorgan Chase).

Mr King holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from St Lawrence University in New York and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Fordham University in New York.  He is member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and Professional Risk Manager’s International Association (PRIMA).
