HKEx Announces Introduction of AIA Stock Options, Admission of AIA to the List of Designated Securities for Short Selling and Listing of AIA Derivative Warrants

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce AIA stock options on 29 October (Friday), subject to the successful listing of the shares on the same day.

Admission of AIA to the List of Designated Securities for Short Selling
AIA will be admitted to the list of designated securities eligible for short selling on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HKEx, with effect from 29 October (Friday).
The latest list of all designated securities for short selling is available on the HKEx website under the Market Operations section.
Listing of AIA Derivative Warrants
HKEx informed issuers on 22 October that they might be able to launch derivative warrants over AIA shares soon. A total of 10 issues were launched by three issuers today (Monday) and will be listed on 29 October when AIA shares commence trading. Nine of the 10 warrants launched today are Call warrants. Please refer to the issuers’ announcements for further details of the 10 warrants.
