Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has appointed Eric Landheer as Senior Vice President and Head of Issuer Marketing in the Market Development Division.
Mr Landheer will join HKEx on 1 February 2011. He will report to Romnesh Lamba, HKEx's Head of Market Development.
He has been based in Hong Kong for the last three years as Head of Asia Pacific for NASDAQ OMX and was responsible for all aspects of issuer marketing and retention. Previously, he also served as Head of Asia Pacific for NASDAQ International for one year in London.
Prior to relocating to London and Asia, Mr Landheer was based in California as Managing Director of new listings and was responsible for driving initial public offerings from the Western United States to the NASDAQ stock market.
Previously, he worked for various brokerages and securities houses in equity finance and institutional sales to major US mutual funds and hedge funds.
Mr Landheer speaks Putonghua and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with High Honours in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
