Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) welcomes the Government's appointment of Mrs Margaret Leung Ko May-yee and reappointment of John Barrie Harrison, Stephen Hui Chiu-chung and Michael Lee Tze-hau to its Board.

The terms of Mrs Leung and Messrs Harrison, Hui and Lee will begin at the conclusion of HKEx's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 April 2013 and will end at the conclusion of the AGM in 2015.

Ronald Joseph Arculli will retire from the Board after the conclusion of the AGM on 24 April 2013.  Mr Arculli joined the Board in April 2006 and was HKEx Chairman from April 2006 to April 2012.  He was also the chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges from October 2010 to October 2012.

"On behalf of HKEx, I would like to thank Ron for his wise counsel and invaluable contributions to HKEx over the past seven years," said HKEx Chairman C K Chow.
