Following the Government's appointment of Stephen Yiu, and re-appointment of Anita Fung, Rafael Gil-Tienda and Margaret Leung, and shareholders' election of Cheah Cheng Hye and Hugo Leung as Directors of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), the HKEX Board today (Thursday) appointed new members to certain committees and consultative panels with immediate effect as follows.  The composition of the Risk Management Committee (Statutory) and Clearing Consultative Panel remains unchanged.

The term of service of each Director on each committee and consultative panel shall be coterminous with the individual's term on HKEX's Board.

The London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear Limited (LME Clear)

HKEX's Board today also approved the appointment of Stephen Yiu to succeed John Harrison to act as director of LME and LME Clear for a term to be coterminous with his term of directorship with HKEX.  His appointment will take effect after receiving the no objection confirmation from the respective regulators of the LME and LME Clear.

OTC Clearing Hong Kong Limited (OTC Clear)

HKEX's Board today also appointed Rafael Gil-Tienda to succeed Bill Kwok to act as director and also the chairman of OTC Clear for a term to be coterminous with his term of directorship with HKEX.
