Severe Weather Arrangements

EIPO

If a Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory and/or Extreme Conditions as announced by any government authority of Hong Kong, please refer to news reports through the electronic news media or messages disseminated through HKEX’s market systems on the current signal/warning’s impact on EIPO services.

The FINI platform is accessible via open internet at all times, the following are the key EIPO arrangements for reference.

Scenarios Typhoon Signal/ Black Rainstorm Warning/ Extreme Conditions

In force BETWEEN 9:00 am and 12:00pm on Public Offer Closing day and the IPO status remains at ‘Deal initiated’

The IPO issuer must follow the arrangement as set out in Practice Note 8A of the Listing Rules and prospectus.


The IPO designated sponsor are required to extend the Public Offer subscription period by one business day on FINI and the corresponding IPO timetable will also be deferred by one business day.

In force AFTER 12:00pm on Public Offer Closing day and the IPO status reached ‘Public Offer Closed’

The IPO timetable will remain unchanged#.

 

The following EIPO services remain unchanged and continue to operate as scheduled. The operating hours will remain the same and all settlement obligations will also have to be satisfied within the prescribed timeframe as usual:


  • Pre-funding Confirmation
  • Allocation Adjustment

NOT fall on a Public Offer Closing day as listed above

The IPO timetable will remain unchanged#.

 

All IPO services including money settlement services via RTGS CHATS remain unchanged and continue to operate as usual. The operating hours will remain the same and all settlement obligations will also have to be satisfied within the prescribed timeframe as usual.

#: Any delay in listing date as published in the prospectus except scenario 1 is subjected to IPO issuer’s discretion and regulatory approval.
