Change of Designated Securities for Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 6 January 2004 (Tuesday), China Life Insurance Company Limited (Stock Code: 2628) will be added to the list of designated securities eligible for short selling.
