The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong wishes to announce the introduction of the new Chapter 2B in relation to review procedures and the corresponding amendments made to Chapter 2A and Practice Note 1.

The new Chapter 2B codifies existing practices and procedures in relation to review proceedings.  The provisions in the new Chapter 2B are basically extracted from and are fundamentally the same as those set out in the previous Chapter 2A of the Exchange Listing Rules except for the following relatively major changes:

• the number of times a new listing application may be considered by the Listing Committee and the Listing (Review) Committee pursuant to each advanced booking Form A1;
• the required time frame for application of review hearings; and
• payment of fees for each application for review of decisions.

The new Chapter 2B and the corresponding amendments will come into effect on June 1, 1999.
