The Board of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has been informed by Mr Patrick Kevin Conroy, Chief Operating Officer, of his decision to return to the United States to pursue his career development by the end of March 2007.  A Selection Committee will be formed to identify suitable candidates to fill the vacancy in due course.

The Board takes this opportunity to express its sincere appreciation to Mr Conroy for his invaluable contributions to HKEx during his service in the past three years, particularly in the implementation of a number of major projects for the further development of the exchanges and clearing houses.
