HKEx Publishes 35th Edition of its Quarterly Publication - Exchange

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has published on the HKEx website the 35th edition of its quarterly publication,  Exchange .  This edition includes:

A Chat Room conversation with HKEx Chief Executive Paul Chow, who is retiring in mid-January of this year, on his experience in his current role, his leadership of the Stock Exchange in the 1990s and some of his thoughts about the future;

A report on records set in HKEx's markets last year;

An overview of the consultation paper published jointly by the Securities and Futures Commission, HKEx and the Federation of Share Registrars to seek comments on an operational model for a scripless securities market in Hong Kong;

A summary of HKEx's conclusions after conducting research and consulting the market on the possible introduction of Certified Emission Reduction futures in Hong Kong;

An update on ETFs listed in Hong Kong, which include the first ETFs designed to reflect the performance of A shares from a particular industry sector;

A report on the first major listing promotion events in Japan and Korea hosted by HKEx;

An article on share buybacks in Hong Kong during the 2007-2009 global financial crisis; and

An article on the results of HKEx's most recent annual survey of trading activity in its derivatives market.
