Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is offering new Stock Connect* shareholding information on the HKEXnews website.
Investors are now able to view on the HKEXnews website a full list of the combined shareholdings of Hong Kong and international investors in individual A shares through Stock Connect and similarly, a full list of the combined shareholdings of Mainland investors in individual Hong Kong stocks with a single click. Please see the appendix for an example.
HKEX has also added Exchange Traded Funds, or ETFs, to the CCASS Shareholding Search facility, through which investors are able to look up the number of shares or units held by each Participant of HKEX’s securities clearing house in a particular security.

APPENDIX
Screen shows results of search for Shanghai shares held through Stock Connect on 17 March 2017, with the % of the total number of A shares listed and traded on SSE in descending order. The list can also be sorted by stock code, stock name or the number of issued shares held.
There is also a new Shareholding Search category under Stock Connect on the HKEX website’s Mutual Market page provides access to the new Stock Connect Shareholding Search facility.
