The demand for more and better climate-related disclosures from corporates in recent years has been driven by investor appetite, regulatory change and the broader and urgent movement on climate change. Global institutions such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) have taken the lead on what these disclosures should look like, working with regulators and other stakeholders to help educate market participants and enhance and standardise climate-related disclosures globally.

At HKEX, we are playing an active role in supporting the journey to more transparency and standardisation of climate-related disclosure, working with institutions around the world to enhance the availability and quality of data in Hong Kong, helping to facilitate the net-zero transition. 

HKEX hosted the HKEX ESG Academy webinar – Navigating Climate-related Disclosures, focusing on upcoming climate-related disclosures requirements, where HKEX and industry experts shared their knowledge on how corporates can enhance their climate-related disclosures as they pursue their own low-carbon goals.
