A hardware component (CPU) in the price dissemination system failed at11:02 am. The backup CPU took over immediately and automatically. During the recovery period, there was temporary slowdown in stock quote updates disseminating through AMS/3 and the Stock Exchange's information dissemination system. The entire recovery was completed at11:30 am. The problem was seen as minor as brokers remained able to retrieve the latest stock quotes through other functions in AMS/3.

The AMS/3 continued to operate normally during the CPU malfunction and trading was unaffected.
